Lakisha Maldonado was born August 19, 1984, in Stratford, NJ. As long as Lakisha can remember, she always loved children. Lakisha dreamed of opening her own daycare one day. She graduated from high school and, a year later, had her firstborn child. Lakisha then had her second child a year later. Lakisha was hired at the daycare where she put her kids in as an assistant teacher and worked there for two years. Afterwards, Lakisha went to school for her Certified Home Health Aide License and started working for Bayada for about two years.

Then she married the father of her children in 2013. In February of 2014, Lakisha opened an in-home daycare called Lil King’s & Queen’s Daycare. Lakisha also started a breeding business called Maldonado PetLife Breeders.
She started breeding 100% chihuahua and miniature schnauzer puppies. In 2018, Lakisha changed the name to Nurturing King’s & Queen’s Daycare, and she changed the logo as well to better brand Nurturing King’s & Queen’s Daycare. All the parents love the service and the changes Lakisha was making. In 2022, Lakisha decided to close the daycare because she and her family decided to move to Palm Bay, FL. They stayed for two years and moved back to New Jersey. Lakisha then opened the daycare like she never left. February 2025 has been even more successful than the first time.
